Who We Are

Playlist Length Calculator provides a free tool for estimating the watch time of public YouTube playlists. The calculator does not require you to create an account or connect a YouTube account.

When you use the calculator, we process the public playlist URL you submit. We extract the playlist identifier, request publicly available playlist and video duration data, and return the calculation to your browser. A successful public result, including public playlist and video titles, may be cached for up to 15 minutes so the service can respond efficiently. The cache key is a hash; it does not contain the raw playlist URL or identifier.

Our hosting and security providers may process standard technical request data such as IP address, browser and device information, requested URL, and security or error events. We use the IP address temporarily to apply an abuse-rate limit to calculator requests.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand aggregated site usage and improve the calculator. These services may process online identifiers, device and browser information, pages viewed, and interaction data through cookies or similar technologies.

They load only after you choose Accept analytics in our consent prompt. If you reject optional analytics, the calculator remains available. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the site footer.

How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

calculate the duration of a public playlist you request;
operate, secure, cache, and rate-limit the service;
diagnose errors and prevent abuse; and
measure and improve the site when you allow optional analytics.

We use the following providers to operate the service:

YouTube Data API to retrieve public playlist and video metadata needed for a calculation;
Cloudflare for hosting, caching, security, rate limiting, and operational logging;
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity for optional analytics after consent.

We do not sell personal information. We do not currently display third-party advertising or run Google AdSense on this site. If that changes, we will update this policy and the relevant consent controls before enabling advertising.

Retention

Successful public calculation results are cached for up to 15 minutes. Technical logs and optional analytics data are retained according to the applicable provider configuration and policies, unless a longer period is required for security, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.

Your Choices

You can reject or later withdraw optional analytics through Cookie settings in the footer. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Rejecting analytics does not prevent the calculator from working, though it may not remove information that a provider has already processed before you changed your choice.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the service or its data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
